Houston, Texas; The Home of Super bowl 51 Your Guide to the 2017 Super Bowl 51 Houston Texas

Super Bowl LI (or Super Bowl 51) arrives February 5, 2017, at NRG Stadium in Houston with the top teams from the NFC and AFC facing off for the NFL championship. One of the biggest sporting events in the world, Super Bowl tickets are coveted by football fans everywhere.

The Super Bowl is a long anticipated event, being held this year, in a city that stunts high-roller style. Houston is a city that does not hesitate when it comes to rolling out the red carpet for locals, football fanatics and visitors who actually travel across the country to attend. Even if they do not attend the game, or tailgate at the stadium, their roars can be felt for miles. The vibrations of football rest beneath the feet of the city, in providing the absolute best Super Bowl experience ever and to top themselves each time it returns.

There will be parties and pep rally’s in nearby bars and restaurants. There will also be those who choose to stay at home and watch the big day on the big screen, while entertaining families and friends from the neighborhood and all over the world.

Downtown Houston has more than 62,000 spots for Super Bowl-related events. Fans are encouraged to park on the west side of downtown to ride the Special Event Circulators to their destination. Certain lots may not be utilized in their normal capacity; therefore, we recommend planning ahead when deciding where to park. If you’re coming downtown during business hours (Monday-Friday), there will still be 12,000+ designated fan parking spots during that time.

Through the Host Committee website and the Fan Mobile Pass app, guests at any event in downtown Houston will be able to pre-purchase their parking spot at a guaranteed rate. The parking pass can be printed or scanned through the app providing turn by turn directions to the lots, giving peace of mind when navigating through Super Bowl events.

The Host Committee strongly encourages visitors to prepay for parking. Rates listed are guaranteed for prepaid parking only and may vary when purchased at the location.

If you will be staying home for the big event, make sure you have plenty of party food and drinks for your guest. We are never too old for a Themed Party, to include Houston Super Bowl LI banners, plates, cups, keepsakes, and other home decor to compliment the occasion. My friends put together a Super bowl 51 selfie photo booth, equipped with party favors and props to make it more festive. There will also be a Super bowl 51 signature drink and punch to go along with chips, dips, sandwiches, cheese and meat trays, as well as hamburgers, hotdogs, and football shaped cookies. Sounds fun, right. Well, it will be, because staying at home means passing on the traffic and congestion, the accidents and police, the delays and road closures, the inclement weather in some cases; as we opted to seeing the game on a 200 inch screen, all while kicking back on reclining sofas while the kids get to play in a safe and comfortable environment. So, don’t feel too bad about not being able to make the game. For ideas about food and drinks for your home party, you can visit 2017 Super Bowl Party Food
